Concept Design

Based on the space used by the current warehouse configuration, Uni Systems could re-organize the storage system and increase the capacity to approximately 15%. The operation can be conducted using 4 RSS cars and an inter-connecting system that can transfer the pallets to the correct location. The RSS system is designed to be manually operated on track and with an operation height of 12 meters.

In this sequence the RSS car travels on a rail in the ground, powered by a guide rail at the top. When reaching a determined area, a stopper block creates a barrier that mechanically forces the wheel to move upwards while releasing a second wheel that is perpendicular to the cars axis. This should permit the car to move at a 90 degree angle to the corridor. The guide rail at the top allows the system to move perpendicular through a universal joint.
